I liked Pamela Foreman's facebook page because she was a new author right in my home town. I won her 1st book (this book) by liking her page.I was so pleasantly surprised. She is a very good writer and this is a wonderful book full of family and love and sorrow and turmoil all at once. I started reading and did not want to put it down. I felt some of the family members might be a little on the goody, goody side but I think Pamela with start work those things out as she keeps righting the series.
I am ready to get book 2 and keep going. Who knew we had such talent right in our little neighborhood.

A decent first story, but it needs some revision. A lot of mixed tenses, from past to present and back again.
The story itself was intriguing but I felt it got lost in too much information.
Perspective was a little strange, told from the point of view of an adult male and a 12yo girl.
Not bad, just not my thing.
As I was reading this book, I could see it presented as a Lifetime movie. The characters are such that you want them to have a happy ending. I admire the underlying message of saving oneself for marriage, even though I was uncomfortable with the adult content.
It's the beauty in the family relationships between David, Annette and their combined children that really save this book.
This story weaves together two struggling families who each lost loved ones and are attempting to find some sort of normalcy again. The children and their parents are also getting to know each other again and are faced with all sorts of relationship dilemmas of friendships, courtship and siblings.
Other than being a little drawn out and having some editing issues, it's an overall sweet and realistic story of the decisions families are forced to make together when their hearts are all pulling in different directions.
It was a warm and touching story about 2 families, one lost their wife and mother leaving behind David and his two daughters Mallory and Maxine. The other family lost their husband and father leaving Annette with her 5 children, Dakota, Tennessee, and a set of triplets Jersey, Virginia, and Georgia. Until a class project teams up Virginia and Mallory up together and they taking their work to Mallory's place when their parents met for the first time and their parents fell for one another. There is lots of hard times for the adults as well as their children but they all worked through it and they all found happiness with each other.
Pamela weaves a sweet story that many families face today.
What happens to a woman with five children when she loses her husband to cancer? What happens to the children left behind?
Can a man learn to love again and successfully raise his own children when his wife passes away?
Ms. Foreman tackles the emotional struggles that follow loss and the difficulty of continuing on without your life's partner. The approach was so delicate that I found myself cheering for both the children and the parents. I could relate to the parental conflicts and I found myself wanted the surviving spouses to move forward with their lives and learn to live again.
This wasn't a typical read for me. It's been ages since I've read fiction that didn't include paranormal, fantasy, mystery, or intense encounters but I enjoyed it.
Wonderful book! I normally dont read books like this but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. It kept me interested and I can't wait until the next book to see what happens with this wonderful family.
I tried to post my review earlier but don't think it made it, so if it appears here twice ... sorry! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story line held my interest because just about the time I'd think I knew what was going to happen, it changed direction and opened up an entirely new journey for the family. I'm hoping there is a sequel because I'd definitely like to keep up with this new family I've been introduced to through You're Right, My Love.
